Stoke City are hopeful of making Xherdan Shaqiri their record signing from Inter Milan
on Tuesday, just a month after the deal appeared to be off.
The Switzerland winger, 23, was at the Britannia
Stadium on Sunday and watched as Stoke lost 1-0

The fee for Shaqiri,
will be higher than the £10m the Potters paid
Tottenham for striker Peter Crouch in 2011. The ex-Bayern Munich star scored three goals
in 20 games for the Italians. He has scored 17
times for his country in 46 appearances.

Van Gaal now faces a decision over whether to start De Gea against Aston Villa on Friday night or continue with Sergio Ro...
