Lionel persistent injury: a cause for concern?

http://i.m.goal.com/thumb/240/240/g/335007.jpgThey re-ignited the pressing game, played total football, wowed us all with brilliant attacking football. Won all there was to win under the tutelage of the Brilliant Pep Guardiola. 2 things made them amazing above all other teams that tried to copy the Barcelona philosophy. The first is their pressing philosophy, that hunger to deprive the opposition of the ball, they did so by hogging the ball for as long as possible then when they lose the ball they fought to have it back like their lives depended on it and the other was the amazing Lionel Messi. He played for four amazing years under Guardiola and got injured just once. He was awesome, winning 3 consecutive ballon d'or, scoring goals, setting records.
Now to the post Guardiola era, Guardiola was replaced by his assistant Tito Villanova. And then the injuries began. He was chasing Gerd Muller's record of most goal scored in a season and was a goal shy from equaling it prior to the Benfica game. Brought in as a second half substitute against Benfica, then he mis kicked the ball and went down. We feared the worst, we thought he won't be able to play again that year but he returned against Betis and ultimately broke the record with a brace against Betis. Then kept wowing us with brilliant displays, then came the PSG game and the 'Lion'el got injured again and has been injured 3 times this season alone. Now the question many football fans keep asking is 'Why is Lionel picking up injuries with ease ever since the departure of Guardiola?'
He has been injured 5times in the last 11 months . Some sectors think it is age and that his style of play makes him injury prone, another school of thought have it that his injury problem has been due to the departure of the then fitness coach Lorenzo Buenaventura who is now with Guardiola at Bayern. Then there is this other argument Barca fans don't want to read.

Dr Eufemiano Fuentes a Spanish doctor on trial threatened to release evidence against top athletes on 29 Januaryand it must b said that the drop in the pressing game of Barcelona and the consistent injury of Lionel Messi has been in the last 12mnths.. Whichever school of thought you decide to follow it is nothing but your own decision.. Ire oooo
